If you're new to Riot Racers, read this to quickly get up to speed! Click on any of the links to find out even more about each item.
Riot Racers is a play-to-earn car racing game, where players can own parts of the game and earn RIOT tokens as they play. Drivers, Cars, Gas Stations, Racetrack Land, Billboard Land, and Mechanic Shops are the NFT game assets. They can be found on the OpenSea NFT Marketplace.
The currency of the game is the RIOT token, a fungible ERC-20 token on the Ethereum blockchain. Players use RIOT tokens to enter races, upgrade vehicles, earn in-game rewards, and more. You can buy RIOT on Uniswap or Quickswap, or you can get it in the in-game wallet after logging in. See the official links section in Discord.
- 2.Review the Race Conditions (Weather, Track, Pit).
- 3.Choose a car and driver (based on the Race Conditions) to race with.
- 4.Pay the entry fee (gas for your car) using the in-game wallet (skip this step for free races).
- 5.Wait for the race to complete (they start when enough people have entered) and see your results! Viewing the race in a 3D video is coming in March 2022.
Winners of the race receive a portion of the prize pool, which is made up from the gas fees for that race. First place earns 50% of the prize pool; second place gets 30%; and third place takes home 20% of the prize pool. Winnings are paid out in RIOT Tokens.
Owners of Mechanic Shops, Racetrack Land, and Gas Stations earn a portion of the car upgrade fees and the race entry (gas) fees in RIOT Tokens. These tokens can be claimed in the Riot Racers website app.
Racers that place in first, second, and third places win RIOT tokens. These tokens are automatically deposited in Racers' in-game wallet and can be withdrawn or used for various in game activities like car upgrades, race entry fees, and asset name changes.
Owners of Genesis Collection Cars can join the Riot Owners Club. ROC Members earn RIOT tokens at varying levels depending on the ROC level they are in. Other benefits include exclusive Loot Boxes, free limited edition cars, and access to private Discord channels.
Everything starts from the Riot Racers App. This is where you can sign up for a Riot Racers account, view the game assets you own, upgrade your cars, and enter races. To sign up, you'll need to connect your MetaMask account and follow the steps to verify your email address. Here's a short video by our friends at Avalon World Gaming that can help guide you through the process of signing up.
